The ever-growing daily pressures faced by workers in the real estate industry is leading several companies to the unique strategic concept of workplace chaplains to provide additional care to their employees, family members and, on certain occasions, even their customers.

Marketplace Chaplains, America’s largest and original workplace chaplaincy organization, provides ethnically diverse male and female chaplains to care for employees on a regular basis in companies all over America, in 4 foreign countries and the commonwealth of Puerto Rico. Currently, 2,800 Marketplace Chaplains serve in 3,170 locations, 44 states, 990 U.S. cities, and 25 international cities. In August alone, chaplains made more than 13,000 worksite visits to client company locations where they provided a wide variety of care in a confidential, voluntary, and non-denominational manner.

Atlanta’s TriMont Real Estate Advisors, along with the Houston-based Caldwell Companies, Hartman Management and NewQuest Properties, are among the many real estate companies using Marketplace Chaplains to care for their employees personal and work-related needs.

“Marketplace Chaplains is doing an excellent job for our 60 employees.  We very much appreciate the personal touch the chaplains offer and the love they show the employees, in good times and bad,” said Al Hartman, Owner, Hartman Management.

“Marketplace Chaplains is an outstanding benefit for our associates,” said Fred Caldwell, President and CEO of Caldwell Companies.

Caldwell, who works with companies and locations all over Southeast Texas, said the chaplains help his employees with issues which could affect productivity and absenteeism. “Our firm is a better place to work today because of the care provided by Marketplace Chaplains,” Caldwell added.

Marketplace Chaplains began serving Caldwell Companies in 2006, and has worked with hundreds of their employees and family members in the years since.

While he manages millions of dollars in resources and thousands of acres of property, Caldwell said his Marketplace Chaplains give him benefits he could never get anywhere else. “What more important resources or relationships are there, than our own family of associates … together creating extraordinary communities and enriching lives,” added Caldwell.

Likewise, TriMont executives said their employees benefit from having the personalized, one-on-one, relationship-based support system that the chaplains provide.

Real estate firms in Houston, Atlanta and elsewhere have added the benefit of regular chaplain visits to the office, hospitals, worksites, or anywhere else they are needed, and have seen the benefit of using Marketplace Chaplains.

“The fast-paced world of real estate never ends, and we are certainly gratified that these innovative firms have chosen Marketplace Chaplains to care for their employees and family members,” said Richard S. De Witt, President and COO, Marketplace Chaplains.
