In the world of business travelers and the hotels where they stay, while business people are busy focusing on their work which can be stressful, McKibbon Hotels, an innovative hotel management firm, is working hard to be sure the time their guests spend with them is stress- free and comfortable.

McKibbon Hotel Management, Inc., based in Tampa, Florida, is using the innovative, strategic initiative of Marketplace Chaplains in its more than 60 locations in Southeastern United States.

Corporate chaplains are available to McKibbon’s thousands of employees, associates and guests, who stay in one of the many varied brands of McKibbon’s business hotels.

“This is the one benefit our associates appreciate the most and hope they never lose because it is so personal and so needed,”
said John McKibbon, III, Chairman.

“In our business it’s really hard to find and keep good people and a lot of associates don’t have any anyone to turn to in a
crisis. This really shows we truly care,” he added.

Marketplace chaplains currently serve in 2,420 client company locations which cover 43 states, 870 cities and five foreign locations with 2,524 chaplains.

Southeast Region Vice President Shane Satterfield said, “It’s a special privilege to work with a company which cares so much for its employees and guests.

“McKibbon Hotels has proved what Marketplace client companies all over the country have proven for more than a quarter century. It’s simply good business to take good care of the employee top line because they will always take care of your company financial bottom line,” Satterfield said.

In addition to helping the McKibbon employee associates the corporate chaplain service is available to hotel guests as well.

“We believe in the principle of the Good Samaritan, helping our guests as we would help our associates,” McKibbon said. “Our associates are always on the look-out for those who are lonely or depressed. It’s the right thing to do.”
