While The ABC-TV hit program Extreme Makeover: Savannah Home Edition, and the multi-story headquarters of the Hope Center in Plano, Texas were thousands of miles apart, they both agreed on one important item – workplace chaplains were vital to their success.

Savannah, Georgia, Marketplace USA Chaplains’ client company J.T. Turner Construction, along with five Marketplace Chaplains, were recently featured on the hit ABC Television show.

“We felt very honored to have our Marketplace Chaplains on-site during Extreme Makeover: Home Edition Savannah,”
said Neilie Dunn, Director of Marketing, J.T. Turner Construction.

“Their prayers were felt by not only our team, but the thousands of volunteers that were on-site during the week to assist with making this dream a reality for a very deserving family. They have become part of our family here at J.T. Turner Construction, and their encouragement and dedication to our team and vision are certainly appreciated.”

While there were no television cameras rolling during the year-plus construction on the Hope Center, just north of Dallas, Texas, general contractor Manhattan Construction also made liberal use of Marketplace Chaplains as well, much to the delight of their workers.

“This worksite was different. I looked forward to coming to work here every day,” one Hope Center construction worker said.

“When I looked up from my work and saw the Chaplains, I realized there was someone here who cared,” another one said.

“We are so pleased to have been able to serve in this unique way,” said Southeast Region Vice-President Shane Satterfield.

Many of Marketplace Chaplains’ clients, such as David Weekley Homes which made the Fortune’s Top 100 List of Best Places to Work, cite this unique employee care service as an invaluable resource for attracting, retaining, and supporting today’s work force.
