After completing a 30-year career in municipal government administration, CG Maclin joined Marketplace Chaplains in April 2004 as the National Director of Recruiting. In January of 2005, he was appointed to serve as the Senior Vice President of Field Operations. On January 1, 2012, CG transitioned to President of International Services, with a special focus on Canada. In 2016, CG transformed the Marketplace training of chaplains with the introduction of the Academy and implementation of an online learning management system, as well as the development of a recording studio to make training videos within the Academy. Prior to joining Marketplace Chaplains, Maclin served as City Manager of Lufkin, Texas, for over 13 years. During that time he received the “Best of Texas, 2003 Visionary Award” from the Center for Digital Government, and was recognized by Texas Business Magazine in 1995 as heading one of the best–managed cities in the State of Texas. A native of East Texas, CG holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Administration from Texas A&M University. CG and his wife, Cricket, have two daughters and four grandsons.
